I view therapy as a collaborative, goal-oriented process in which I support clients in making meaningful changes in their lives. This work involves developing coping skills as well as deepening clients’ understanding of their relationship to themselves and others. I strive to create a supportive yet challenging environment that aims to foster clients’ empowerment and build on their existing strengths and resilience. I do this by using an Interpersonal, Existential, Multicultural approach that emphasizes context, identity, meaning-making, and the therapeutic relationship as central to the change process. Clients often describe me as: warm, understanding, and empathic; and express appreciation for my use of humor, directness, and authenticity during our clinical interactions.
I offer all clients a 30 minute phone or video conference consultation, free of charge.
